GMAC is a Chrome extension for Facebook group admins. It collects the answers to membership questions from the group's "Member requests" page and saves them to the admin's own Google Sheet. It is developed and operated by Zeev (Zevik) Aviner. This page explains what data the extension handles, where it is stored, and what is sent to us.

Data collected from Facebook - stays with you

When you click "Collect" (or enable automatic collection), the extension reads the group's member-requests page: the requester's name, user ID, profile link, the collection date, and the answers to the membership questions. This data is written only to your own Google Sheet, in your own Google account. It is not sent to us and does not pass through our servers.

If the sheet can't be reached (for example, no connection), records are kept temporarily in the extension's local storage in your browser and sent to the sheet later. They are removed from local storage once written, and in any case when the extension is uninstalled.

Data sent to our license server

GMAC is a subscription service. To run it, the extension communicates with our license server (api-payments.zevikaviner.com) and sends:

• Your Google account email address - to check whether you have an active subscription or trial. The server receives Google's access token only to look up that email address; it does not use it to access your sheets and does not store it.
• A backup of your group-to-sheet links - the names of the groups and the IDs of the Google Sheets you connected, so they can be restored automatically if you reinstall the extension. A sheet ID is just a code; we have no access to the sheet's contents.

The backup is kept in a separate file per user, named with a one-way hash of the email address (no readable email in the file name). The email address may appear in server logs for troubleshooting. We keep this data while your subscription is active, or until you ask us to delete it.

Group names, sheet IDs and email addresses are never sold, rented or shared with anyone else.

Payments

Subscription payments are made on a checkout page of an external licensed payment provider (iCount). Card details are never entered into the extension, never pass through it, and never reach us - they are handled entirely by the payment provider under its own privacy policy.

Google permissions

The extension asks Google for two permissions only:

• Google Sheets - to create a sheet, write the collected records to it, and read it to skip duplicates.
• Email address - to identify your subscription, as described above.

GMAC's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The data is used only for the extension's single purpose.

What we don't do

• No analytics, tracking or advertising in the extension.
• No sale or transfer of data to third parties, other than the payment provider for processing payment.
• No use of data for purposes unrelated to the extension's purpose, or to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
• No remote code: all of the extension's code ships in the package installed from the Chrome Web Store.

Deletion and your rights

Uninstalling the extension removes all of its local data. Your sheets belong to you and stay in your Google account. To have your email address and links backup deleted from our license server, or to access or correct them, email us. Requests are handled as soon as possible.
